Research Interests:

Algebraic geometry: Curve-counting theories (Gromov-Witten, Donaldson-Thomas, ...) and related enumerative geometry, deformation theory, moduli spaces and stacks, logarithmic geometry, monoids and toric varieties

Topology: Knot homology theories (Khovanov, Heegaard-Floer), sheaf-theoretic methods in algebraic topology, differentiable spaces, logarithmic geometry and manifolds with corners, Morse theory, moduli spaces in symplectic geometry

For a vague idea of my recent research, click here for an animated PNG (use Firefox) showing (the flow lines for) a family of Morse functions on the torus degenerating to one which is not Smale.
